VNU Balanced Load Testing

Final Reality™ is at the heart of VNU European Labs’ “Balance Load Testing Initiative.”

Balanced Load Testing (BLT) is taking a wide and futuristic approach to testing; it is the evaluation of Application, 2D and 3D performance. This gives a more balanced assessment of how PCs are used and how they are likely to be used in the future.

Final Reality™ is a multi-functional set of tests. On a control PC, it can be used to test graphic adapters whether they are 3D, 2D or combi-card. When testing the whole system, the overall result form Final Reality™ provides an accurate evaluation of the CPU, motherboard chipset and bus, the graphic device (2D and 3D) and the monitor. Its support for Direct3D, MMX™ and AGP, as well as for specific families of processors, Pentium (MMX™), Pentium II, K6 and M2 is only one of the reasons why Final Reality™ is a corner-stone of benchmarking.

Additionally, Final Reality™ is based on the “Real World”: it is designed to test those factors which are important in PC evaluation and is based on two real games, co-developed with a games developer.

Along with the BAPCo benchmark, which uses popular applications to rate PC performance, all this provides VNU European Labs with the cutting edge in PC benchmarking.

Final Reality™ is an ongoing development. It will be upgraded and improved to cope with the latest in technology. Lab staff are continuously striving for the best possible test methodologies. This is just the beginning…
